Advocacy
SMPS Chicago is proud to partner with charitable organizations throughout the year both with volunteerism and monetary support. It is an essential and important part of the Chicago Chapter’s mission to further our members’ knowledge and involvement with causes that their fellow members are passionate about. In 2014, SMPS Chicago held a book drive in support of Lurie Children’s Hospital, provided luncheon speaker gifts through donations to The Greater Chicago Food Depository as well as supported the #1 single day food drive for GCFD through CANstruction, and helped GCFD with two food sorting volunteer days.
In 2015, we continued to provide luncheon speaker gifts through donations. The SMPS Chicago Board and EAP cook an Italian feast for 60 families staying at Ronald McDonald House through their “Meals from the Heart Program” on April 1.
In 2016, we look forward to continue to support Chicagoland charities and will be posting information about donations and opportunities to get involved. So far, we have supported Future City Chicago by sponsoring the Best Future City Marketing-Big Idea award.
