Fellows Recognition Program

The Fellows of SMPS represent the highest level of experience and leadership in marketing within the design and building industry.

The Fellows program was established in 1998 to recognize an individual member for distinguished contributions to their firms, the profession and service to SMPS.

The Fellows serve as a resource at the chapter, regional, and national levels, providing insight, ideas, programs, and mentoring for the benefit of the members and the Society. In addition, these individuals teach, write, and speak on marketing issues, working to advance the profession of marketing professional services throughout the A/E/C industry.

To Qualify:

  • Members who have been active in SMPS for at least 10 years of the previous 15 consecutive years
  • Have 15 years of experience as a marketer and/or business developer in the A/E/C industry
  • Have held a current CPSM certification designation for a minimum of 5 years
  • Complete a detailed application that documents the candidate’s work history, education, professional accomplishments, association participation, and perception of the meaning of the Fellow designation

Fellows are selected by a jury of Fellows appointed by the Fellows Delegate of the SMPS National Board of Directors.
